Ahmad Chaaban is a classically trained ballet dancer, from the Damascus Ballet Conservatory, and also a Syrian refugee. Through his own choreography and dance, Ahmad shares his emotional story escaping war, his frustrations with being a refugee unable to pursue his dream, and his love and passion for dance as his form of freedom. +INFO
Marco Bollinger has directed projects for the UN Refugee Agency, worked with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and photographed Beyoncé and Obama. He’s won several awards, produced award-winning social issue documentaries on subjects ranging from the plight of refugee kids, the healing power of dance to the impacts of tourism. More recently he has moved to scale his empathy-building advocacy work by co-founding social enterprise Lokal Travel. |
