SCREENDANCE
International Screening
Installation
5pm to 8pm (wednesday to friday) > Livraria Ler Devagar

___

2 to 4 December

This first moment consists of an international screening of films that in some form illustrate some of the most defining aspects of the festival: from dance documentaries to interventive video installations, through to intimate and openly fictional creations, with screendance consistently on the horizon. A hybrid and diversified selection - built on seven films, totalising three hours - that serve as a microcosm of the festival as a whole, in addition to functioning as a glimpse towards the current artistic panorama in the common territories of film and dance.

Alchemy, Krzysztof Stasiak (PL)

A Town with a Blue Hill, Joowon Song (KR)

Threading Issues, Margherita Morello (ES)

Umbrella Dance For Hong Kong, Wong King Fai  (HK)

Safe Piece , Isabelle Vigier, Valentina Campora (NL)

All the poems I didn't send, Arjan Gebraad (NL)

Malditos, Elena Goatelli, Angel Esteban (ES)

9 a 11 de Dezembro

In the year in which we received the largest number of national submissions ever, an idea arose to bring together, in a joint exhibition, the various Portuguese screendances we had selected, this time as a singular collection. To the six films gathered from video collections we had in several art galleries, a seventh was added (Gambling with Macau). This new and collective screening is intended as a celebration of national talent and dedication, in a genre whose national development we want to continue to be jointly responsible for.

Gambling with Macau, Filipe Carvalho, Patrik Thomas  (PT)

Limiar ténue entre o poder e a igualdade, Anita Alves (PT)

Specific Site - Specific Body, Romulus Neagu, Tomás Pereira (PT)

10.000 Lives, Bruno Machado, Ashleigh Georgiou (PT)

The Grid, Sebastian Bolenius (PT)

Ondas da Terra, Vanessa Cunha (PT)

The Kingdom, Telmo Branco (PT)
