Contraste
Inclusive Dance Workshop & Casting
FAPPC & CiM
10th - 20th September | Évora, Coimbra and Lisbon

The FAPPC - Federation of Cerebral Palsy Portuguese Associations in partnership with CiM - Integrated Multidisciplinary Company are back to promote an inclusive dance training cycle.

Contraste is a project that will run throughout the country in 2014, organizing workshops of inclusive dance, under the artistic guidance of Ana Rita Barata (CiM’s choreographer and art director) and Bruno Rodrigues (CiM’s choreographer and dancer).

This initiative is co financed by the Financial Program to Projects of INR, I.P.

The project primary aim is to promote an active participation of subjects with disabilities in dance, movement and artistic crossovers, as well to ensure that performative art professionals (dancers, actors, performers) may develop inclusive dancing techniques and tools.

The training will include a casting to the purpose of assembling a final project - artistic creation - that brings together the participants of several workshops.

In each workshop a group of 5/6 participants will be selected (Évora and Coimbra), which will later join the Lisbon workshop where the final group for the creation phase and presentations will be selected.

Intended participants:

> Performers with disabilities

> Performance art professionals

> Technicians and others Rehabilitation professionals
