A country’s skin

I continue to map, in the dark.
The project grows, becomes visible, and with it my will to keep finding microcosms representative of some essences of each Portuguese region increases.

MICROcosmos is a series of documentaries. A documentary for each region. Between several hazards and imperfect moments, I shot in Trás-os-Montes, Minho, Beira Litoral, Beira Baixa, Algarve and Beira Alta. Fátima will be the next territory to be added to this map.

The memory of a country can be portrayed in a solid way and the reflection about a society’s deep wounds can be brought to forefront.
I hope that the suggestions I’ll make through MICROcosmos project can turn into direct ways to question the challenges that appear all around me.
