InShadow2013 Edition 5th International Festival of Video, Performance and Technologies 28th November to 8th December
The 5th edition of InShadow – International Festival of Vídeo, Performance and Technologies came to an end. During 11 days, we gathered around 150 people, from Vo’Arte’s team to São Luiz Teatro Municipal, Teatro do Bairro, Plataforma Revólver, Galeria das Salgadeiras, Pickpocket Gallery, FMH, ESTAL and ETIC, artists, technicians, volunteers, professors and jury.
InShadow proved to be a reference in the contemporary artistic creation and programming, with focus on the convergence between the languages of body and image, based on technologies. InShadow Festival is unique: it is dedicated to video dance and documentary, to performances and exhibitions and presents a strong Educational Project.
The programming included 5 performances, 40 films in the video dance competition, 10 documentaries, 2 activities for children, 5 special sessions, 3 exhibitions, 5 installations, 5 workshops, 3 masterclasses and 2 parties. InShadow presented several proposals dedicaded to the guest country – France – several premiers, and also in this edition LittleShadow had the greatest number of participations. And, for the first time, we had a long warm-up, with extensions throughout the year!
We grew. There are no repetitions or overlaps. We grew in numbers and in activities, in images and bodies. We grew in audience: more than 4300 people went to InShadow! We grew in actions, partnerships, images and bodies.
The success of this edition much due to the quality and creativity of the program presented, so our sincere gratitude to all the artists, and of course to all the collaborators which made it possible.
InShadow, body imagined within the shadow. +INFO
