The Inshadow's 7th edition was again a success and it proves being a reference in the contemporary artistic transdisciplinar creation, unique in its own programme, with the prestigious recognition of EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe, 2015-2016 label.

The Festival programme started on the 18th of November and it was present in 14 different Lisbon venues, gathering more than 150 artists in 19 days of intense programming. 

This year we received 650 applications from more then 50 countries, we exhibited 48 video dance and 12 documentaries in competition with 10 given awards.

The great winners were "The Choreographer Mats Ek", by Andreas Söderberg & Björn Eriksson, was distinguished with the Luna Andermatt's award, supported by the Conserveira de Lisboa for the Best Documentary; "Off Ground" by Boudewijn Koole, with the award Schweppes Portugal for the Best Video Dance; Hang On – Carry On, by Michiel Vaanhold was selected as the Best One Minute Video Dance awarded with a training voucher from etic;. The Best Portuguese Director, with the support of Herdade da Comporta, was to Joana Rodrigues with the film Synchronism. The Best Portuguese Film, a Vo’Arte's choice, went to Deriva, by Aurélio Vasques & Bernardo Sassetti. The Audience choose  Longing to Fly / Longing to Fall, by Erika Janunger as the Best Internationa Film and the Best Animated Film was to Raquel Silvestre, a Pastora, by Marina Palácio.

InShadow presented 5 performances – one world premiere, 3 special sessions, 5 animated film sessions,5 exhibitions, 5 installations, 2 concerts and 2 parties summing more than 120 hours of programmingand around 150 artists. 

The training project LittleShadow, this year occured on the Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações and São Luiz Theatre with 4 animation film sessions, 4 artistic activities and the performance Babaol, from Cia EnÁmbar Danza with the participation of 500 children.

From the program, also 7 workshops, 4 masterclasses and 2 open classes, held by artists, directors, choreographers and dancer to a general audience and specialized in a total of 350 persons.

InShadow has the curatorship and artistic direction of Ana Rita Barata and Pedro Sena Nunes.
