Vo’Arte is in a new European project: EVDH - European Video Dance Heritage. The project intends to develop a dance memory, taking into account the evolution of digital technologies and the different ways to access to resources. The access of younger generations to that heritage is also a topic on analysis.

The project includes a two-year analysis and an experimental programme, in which the partners will create a dance memory in audiovisual format. According to the European Union, EVDH is an important project since it is the first project to analyse European digital heritage in the field of dance, leaving a broad panorama of the most important choreographic works to future generations.

The Opening Conference marked the project’s official release and ran from 13th to 15th November 2013, in Tanzhaus NRW, Düsseldorf (Germany). The conference’s main theme was the cultural heritage in dance, its preservation and safety in dance archives, the visibility of the heritage’s importance in the 21st century and its presentation in TV and other platforms on the Internet.
